This week’s Patient of the Week was a man who was very ill but afraid to leave his home for treatment. The most interesting part of the episode however from my point of view was the screentime for seemingly forgotten Chase and Cameron. Ever since the start of Season 4, both of these characters have seen minimal airtime so it was refreshing to see them on screen like the first three seasons of House.
During the course of treatment on the patient, they attempted to transfer him to the hospital for a procedure but Cameron in her typical manner awoke the patient sending him into a frenzy when he realized he was at the hospital. The patient went back home still needing treatment. At this point, it was decided to do the procedure at his home despite the sterilaztion issues. However even after the procedure that involved setting the patient on fire, the issues still remained.
Soon after, House while in the patient’s bedroom with Cameron and the agoraphobic man figured it out. He said the patient has some bullent fragments from the robbery that set off his agoraphobia in the first place. He slices the man open and removes the fragments quickly. Problem solved and House cracks some typical House rude epitaphs while heading out of there.
Going on during the episode were other stories which included Cameron and Chase at ends and looking headed towards splitsville before reconciling their issues. There were also some reactions to the House/Cuddy kiss from the last episode with Wilson checking in for updates. House cracked jokes about it in a manner we’d all expect.
The episode ends with House going near Cuddy’s house before turning the other way and leaving while the patient leaves his house and heads for a walk.
I thought this was a pretty good episde. As I mentioned earlier, it was great seeing more of Chase and Cameron on screen again. What did you all think of it?
